BASH002: Clay Wilson - 12"

20.00

Styles Upon Styles look homeward for the second release in their BANGERS & ASH 12” series with a breathtaking slab of experimental techno sonics from Brooklyn’s Clay Wilson

Clay wields the dankest bass this side of a rasta Dubliner with opener "Tab", a clean cleave to your headspace that sets a menacing tone for the Ash side. "Reset" boils with animosity, "Pfizing" echoes the footsteps of a thousand subterranean rats, and “Wythe” weaves through sewers at the front of the herd with knives clutched between teeth.

The weapons stay unsheathed for the Bangers: "End Gap" transforms a subway train's electrical malfunction into a poly-rhythmic techno trip down forgotten tunnels, as "Toe the Line" enshrouds what’s left with a pall of Agent Orange, choking the shuddering beat ‘til the needle hits the last groove.

Ash:

A1. Tab (0:50)
A2. Reset (3:44)
A3. Pfizing (4:26)
A4. Wythe (6:40)

Bangers:

B1. End Gap (4:00)
B2. Toe The Line (6:01)
